Aged Wood Substance Designer Tutorial

This is a step-by-step tutorial on creating a fully procedural realistic aged wood material in Substance Designer. I go through the whole production phase, including preparation, initial shapes creation, detailing and finally, optimizing and rendering the final substance material in Marmoset Toolbag.

You can learn valuable methods in this tutorial that can be applied to creation of other types of materials as well.

The total runtime of this tutorial is 1 hour and 54 minutes. The video files are separated into easily manageable parts. Project files are included.

Important notes:

1. I used Substance Designer 2018.3.4 in this tutorial, but the procedural material creation techniques can be used in earlier versions of the software as well. The included project files may not open in earlier version.

2. Please notice that you need Marmoset Toolbag v3.07 or later to be able to open the file.
