Here is somewhat complex leather material that I recreated from scratch in Substance 3D Designer.
Scanning material like this can be so time consuming that I often find that it is just easier to go ahead and build it from scratch.
I have also noticed that fabric material scans even with high end industrial level gear often do not stand up for closer scrutiny.
But with Substance we get adjustable parameters which we can tweak. I can for example create color variations of this material simply by adjusting the exposed parameters.
