Recently I created interactive rusty steel PBR Substance using Substance designer.
This substance adapts to mesh data such as curvature, ambient occlusion, and position maps. All aspects can be fully tweaked using sliders in Substance Painter.
With this substance it's easy to serialize rusty post apocalyptic material creation and automatically create rusted surfaces. The substance will adapt into position map data for example, allowing correct positioning of leaks (leaks will go from up to down) and ambient occlusion (rust tends to gather in occluded areas where moisture is most likely present). Paint surface color can be tweaked or can be turned off entirely.
This is a must have substance for game designers.
