"Just a day before her 39th birthday, Ryoko had found out that the cancer had spread. Due to strict COVID regulations at Meguro hospital she is hospitalized in none of her friends were able to visit her. They were able to pass her a present and flowers in a sanitized container. She spent her birthday quietly alone eating a small cake the nurses had brought. She felt surprisingly good, almost normal despite the chemo she has been on.
She is well aware that the odds are against her, but she still finds joy in her life. She is not ready to give up just yet.
Let's follow her journey from now from other side of the screen."

The piece was done in Unreal Engine 5 using Marvelous Designer, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Maya, and of course Metahuman Creator.
